The Texas Ball

Up

On Saturday, January 20, 2001, George W. Bush was Inaugurated.  That Night, 8 Balls were held to Celebrate the Event.  We were asked to play at the Texas Ball, but declined for various logistical reasons.  We, however, were delighted to receive tickets, and to be able to attend.

The Texas Ball was held at the Washington Convention Center, which also hosted the Wyoming Ball in the other half of the Center.

Afterwards, we ran across the street (in the SNOW) from the Convention Center to the Renaissance Hotel to wait for our Limousine.

It was a REAL ADVENTURE getting back to our hotel in the gridlock, street closures, and snow, with ~12,000 people all trying to leave the Ball at the same time !!

All in All a Very Memorable Group of Events !!
