We had the honor of being invited to play at the Texas State Society of Washington, DC's main Inaugural Event, The Black Tie And Boots Ball on January 19, 2001 (The Night Before the Inauguration of George W. Bush ) at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, the largest hotel in Washington D.C..

Anybody who was Anybody in the Washington DC  and Texas Republican parties, as well as the Rich, Glitzy, and Famous of the Entertainment World, descended upon the hotel in mass.  With the streets closed for the Presidential Motorcades, all of the Secret Service Security, and the ~12,000 attendees, it was just a challenge to get there !!  Getting back to the our own hotel at the end of the evening was even more of an adventure !!
